Death by suicide pod? Or in fact strangulation?
First woman to use death pod is found with strangulation marks on her neck
Dr Florian Willet is the president of Sarco’s fluffily named ‘The Last Resort’ and he may well have reached his, as he remains in custody after being arrested along with several other people, following the death of a 64 year old woman in the ‘Sarco suicide pod’. Willet was the only person present when the woman died.
The Swiss chief prosecutor of the case, Peter Sticher, has commented that the woman’s death may not have been suicide, raising suspicions that she may in fact have been strangled in a case of ‘intentional homicide’, as reported in the Dutch newspaper de Volkskrant.
Willett, who was standing beside the woman’s pod throughout the ‘suicide event’, was heard to tell the pod's designer over video call: "She's still alive, Philip", six and a half minutes after the woman pressed the pod button to end her life.
A Forensic doctor, who was present at the scene, thereafter divulged to the Courts that the woman had, among other things, severe injuries to her neck following her death.
A criminal investigation is ongoing.

Please - let’s get involved with the UK’s Assisted Dying bill, which I believe must be stopped. Read about why I feel like this in my other articles, linked below.
When Choice Becomes Coercion: The Perils of Legalised Euthanasia
The Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill, (note the polite way of saying euthanasia here), is a proposed piece of legislation for the UK that aims to allow terminally ill adults to request medical assistance to end their lives. The bill was introduced by Labour MP Kim Leadbeater as a Private Members' Bill and was presented to Parliament on Wednesday…
When Choice Becomes Coercion: The Perils of Legalised Euthanasia
Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) was made legal in Canada in 2016. When introduced its scope was to allow any adult suffering from a ‘grievous and irremediable medical condition’ with only 6 months to live, to apply to have a doctor kill them. Note the similarity with the current UK Bill on the point in bold, but note below the expansion of MAiD in Ca…
The mail certainly got the conversation going regarding euthanasia in the comments section where many people disliked the idea of a pod with the gas but did suggest other methods that would be more acceptable and maybe less stark. It seems the acceptance of euthanasia has been put into the minds of people so that they are now not discussing in principle if it is right or wrong for a doctor to put an end to your life but are discussing what methods should be used. It seems the only argument now is the method of putting an end to someone's life not the ethics of it. Very useful article to embed the acceptance of euthanasia into the minds of people and the only discussion needed is how do we do it.
...'pod help us' may likely become the disgusting petition of this deplorable euthanasia cult, without goin into the depths of this 'event' and it's associated issues, and my approach seems off point, however, what impressed me immediately, and it's irrevelant, revolves about what accrues to some of the semantics involved...we have a Stitcher (Peter) who seems astute, and we have the term 'stitched up', now that is not to suggest this is the case, i'm just noting the linguistic aspects, nothing more, while the name Willet is very close to 'will it', a term which is loaded with connotations in this current context, so rather than continue ad infinitum this line of observation, which i believe in itself is of peculiar interest, and bordering eccentric...u may find the vast and incessant work of Lawyer Lisa (LL) in Canada of interest and value, and i arrived here via Rhoda Wilson's recommendation at the Exposé!... https://lawyerlisa.substack.com/p/euthanasia-and-the-demise-pill-next/comments?utm_source=post&comments=true&utm_medium=web ...
