I have wanted to dive into the inheritance tax (IHT) changes affecting private pensions in the UK, known colloquially as the “IHT grab”, for some time, and have been meaning to write about the same for a while. I am not going to lie, as with everything government, nothing is simple or transparent, but below is what I have discovered and my interpretation of what it all means.
