Thanks for this. I’m keen to learn more and especially our best strategies to peacefully decline the offer to pay (illegal?) taxes! I’m 100% aware of the vice grip getting stronger and so your efforts to educate people on lawful remedies is much appreciated! 🙏
“no one will be interested in my musings” are you kidding? A lawyer discussing non-compliance in the midst of a full blown totalitarian take over should be one of the top substacks to read. The US is well served with substack authors and Covid and jab driven excess deaths is exhaustively covered. My current strategy is non engagement non compliance based on a belief that it is our duty to fight back and one way is non payment of bills, debts, taxes to a fraudulent system. Thank you for this article, always learning and listening to different options. I’m glad I came across your substack. Good luck.
Thank you for taking the time to write this as it’s most interesting and educational. I’m all for withholding tax!! We are currently going through my dads probate and the majority of what he worked hard for all his life is being taken and there’s a good chance we’ll have to sell his business that my brother has been trying this look after for the last couple of years. He was 93 and in a care home for the last 4.5 years and paying 40% tax on his business, sat in a chair all day AND he was paying for his care home fees too which was around £70,000 per year and now HMRC are going to try and take his savings and tax us so heavily that we may have to sell up everything to pay the tax.
It’s a bit late for your poor dad but learn from this. Learn about private trusts and about avoiding probate the next time around! It’ll be the best investment you made. Checkmatethematrix (dot) com. 🙏
You do realise the copious tax regime on trusts dont you? Private trusts fall nto that along with the requirement for people to now register them on the TRS digital platform
Congratulations on leaving the “ legal" not lawful profession. Very courageous, I am sure your tax angle will be of great interest, especially to UK readers. Many Substacks I follow are US orientated.I look forward to your investigations/ suggestions.Best Wishes Helen 😊
Complicated lol! But I can tell you that legal means something in law permitting an act or non act (ie legislation or common law) and lawful means there is nothing in legislation or common law preventing an action or non action. I do not listen to Vobes tbh nor many of his guests and I am not sure that I can plough through the whole of this video. However, given what I have said about legal and lawful that gvies you a starter and I do agree that we have forgotten our constitution and that is has been subverted in many ways. He is right about the written constitution too
Rather than a history of taxation extortion it might be beneficial to show and help people how to resist taxation in all its forms and how to defend one's family and property against the mafia style bullies from debt collection companies trying to extort currency from us under threat of clamping or stealing our property when they have no valid claim against us and in the knowledge that taxation funds illegal wars and terrorism (same thing?).
"perhaps no one will be interested in my musings" the problem is there are so many good substacks to choose from and only so many hours in the day. Good luck.
Hi, just wanted to ask, being as you mention tax and are coming from the legal proffession. Are you aware of/ do you recall a case a few years ago (which was made into a now totally dissapeared youtube documentary) regarding a case of a man who no longer had to pay income tax etc after going to court for non payment. Then defending his case by asking the judge which was worse, non payment of his tax or funding terrorism. He then went on after recieving the obvious answer to prove in court beyond any reasonable doubt. That the UK gov was a terrorist org by proving they committed the 7/7 bombings as a false flag opperation. He apparently produced many internal docs and all manner of information which blindsided them and they basically threw out the case. The last I heard he had not by the time of production heard any more of it. Does this ring any bells, if so can you shed any more light on it? I just figured it would be the kind of gossip lawyers might engage in and therefore you might know the details?
I will be covering this in later articles. I have my own views on why this is perhaps not the best method for some people to adopt - because of the ramifications of it. Some people just will not be able to cope with being in the crosshairs of HMRC over it and I do not want people to end up facing court action, that they have scant resources to cover. Thats why I think it is essential to explore the question of simple things that everyone can do legally. And that involves knowing the tax system a bit
I found an article a while ago about Chris Coverdale's tax revolt methods. I realise it was written from a 'pro-tax' view but makes some interesting points from tax specialists and lawyers (and advises against it). Including the point that 'revocable' trusts don't have an equivalent in the UK... they're a US thing. Here's the link: https://taxpolicy.org.uk/2024/03/19/fake-anti-war/
Thanks Paul. The article makes some good points and leans into what I have said about people not being equipped to get into the crosshairs of HMRC. I should however say that we do have revocable trusts in the UK . I do not want to promote solicitors but here is a link to one which explains revocable trusts. I have no affiliation with them https://www.reganpeggs.com/a-comprehensive-guide-to-trusts-in-the-uk
Yes it is a good method because it challenges the UK Government to remain within the confines of International law - which they clearly flout on a daily basis. As the monies are held in a Trust with the gov as Primary Beneficiary, should anyone get to the point where they're in too deep, they can simply pay the tax (as it's in a trust they cannot touch). The trust deed has worked for many - including Coverdale himself who has kept out of jail since 2016 after adopting the deed. No judge could find in favour of legislation having the power to coerce a person (with menaces) into funding the illegal actions of government - and as you'll know, HM Gov doesn't have to be found guilty in a court of law in order to be considered to be acting illegally (R v Letts). Being as how the UK Gov's own civil servants are threatening to take them to court (over illegal arms sales to Israel) for fear of being found complicit themselves in war crimes, crimes against humanity and 'plausible' genocide, this is the perfect time to change case law so that no taxpayer is ever mandated into funding terrorism ever again.
I don't think it works as a tool for that. But that's what I would like to discuss with Chris. Trusts are also inherently complex vehicles from a taxation point of view, so it seems odd to use them. But again, something to discuss
Yes - certainly worth a chat with him. He originally ended up in jail because of wilful refusal, the trust enabled him to say he was happy to pay his tax, and would keep it in trust for HM Gov until such a time as they no longer used it for criminal purposes. For all you've done and continue to do - thank you.
Have you looked at this fledgling site yet? Readership is increasing.
If you include your Substack account link at the end of any articles you submit it could promote your work to a larger audience. Also Tom was looking for a female (are we allowed to say that?) to join his 'working group' Basically a few of us from the start, who make suggestions about mods to the site. I know from 'Lawyers of Light' that you would be good in that role. Please consider coming over.
I have writers block, but I am hoping to recruit more capable writers: Dr Mike Yeadon, Geoff Thompson (Geoff Buys Cars), Andrew Bridgen and your good self!
I have commitments from John Hamer and Feargus O'Connor Greenwood to write articles, both are currently busy, but John has given permission to copy his work.
Ha ha "female" How dare you guess my pronouns lol. I will check it all out a bit later. Thank you for the heads up and I may well be interested in the working group
One thing I would love to see across the "freedom" media is a very good in depth look at how current events around the world may well be occuring a la Gladio style to suit a particular imperialist narrative. We have to consider this and separate it from genuine concerns about UK immigration policy. IMO imperialism is actually on its last legs along with USD hegemony - perhaps hence the dying animal frenzied attack mode - but I remain unconvinced that the multi polar world is any sort of saviour. Just a different power base with the same aims. On the issue of Israel/Palestine, you likely know that this is a massive red line for me. I would find it more than a tad difficult to associate with anyone that is supportive of the current horrors we are seeing
I know your strength of feeling, hence why I brought it up. I seem to recall comments from Tom (possibly in The Spectator) supporting the idea of the IDF going after Hamas.
There are a lot of broadcasters (Douglas Murray comes to mind) that are surprisingly supportive of the IDF trying to "free the hostages, and destroying Hamas" Personally I am not convinced of the outcome of the Oct 7th incursion into Israel and all the so called atrocities committed there. I personally think it was a massive false flag, and that's why I want to get John and Feargus contributing, as they have both documented previous false flags in history.
Your views in FSB, even if counter to Tom's would definitely be uploaded, he wants it to all be about open debate.
Do you have my email address within your site? If so, contact me via that, if you wish

But why would you need a trust for it???????
To sidestep wilful refusal.
